Hi all,

I use MQSeries 5.2 Server on Solaris 8. I created a QueueManager and in this QM several client-conn-channels.

My problem is, I couldn't delete these channels by typing "delete channel(CHANNEL1)". runmqsc always display "channel CHANNEL1 not found AMQ8227", but a "display channel(CHANNEL1)" shows that it is there.

What have I to do to delete these channels?

Joerg Schoppet

P.S.: I'm logged in as user "mqm".

Check if your channel names are mixed case. If it is, then you need to use single quotes around the channel name.
What do you get if you issue a "dis chs(*)". Is the channel running. What happens if you try to start the channel, does it come up. Or do you get the same error message.

Cheers.

Hi,

I find it very strangefull. The next day I could delete the channel without any problems.

With another channel, today, I have the same problems.

If I make a "display channel(CHANNEL*)" I see all channels including this one, it's now "CHANNEL1QM1" with the channeltype(CLNTCONN). If I try to start the channel with "runmqchl -m QMADMIN -c CHANNEL1QM1" I get the same error message "Could not find channel "CHANNEL1QM1". ????

You can only use runmqchl for a sender or a requester channel (not CLNTCONN or even SVRCONN).
