Hello WMQI Friends,
I'm using the MBFE and I'm trying to find out what the file size limitations are. I've created a flow that simply copies the message from MQ to a File on AIX. The largest file I've sent is 4124081 bytes. When I tried sending a file 4281003 bytes, I got the below message:
The DataLength parameter is not valid. Either the parameter pointer is not valid, or it points to read-only storage. (It is not always possible to detect parameter pointers that are not valid; if not detected, unpredictable results occur.) This reason can also be returned to an MQSeries client program that is putting and getting messages, if the application message data is longer than the negotiated maximum message size for the channel.
Corrective action: Correct the parameter. If the error occurs for an MQSeries client program, also check that the maximum message size for the channel is big enough to accommodate the message being sent; if it is not big enough, increase the maximum message size for the channel.
MY QUESTIONs:
Are there file size limitations for the MBFE? (I couldn't find this information in their PDF)
Is there some parameter that needs to be set somewhere to increase file size sent using MBFE?
Thanks,
Ching |

I bet this is actually an issue with the MaxMsgLn on your qmgr, queue, or channels. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
