				(Sheesh, here we go again)

Janakiram, there are a few problems with the way you posted your question, which prevent us from helping you:

1. What do you mean by "console" - z/OS console?

2. Channel or channel initiator - which one?

3. What is the command you used, and what error message did you get in return? (just saying "having a problem" or "couldn't able" is not really sufficient data now is it?)

4. What did you try to do in order to solve it, and why didn't it work?

5. Specify your OS and your MQ version + CSD.

6. It is normally a good idea to use "please" or any similar words of polite acknoledgement in your posts.

Please refer to all said clauses so we can help you. |

				Hello,

Are you looking for Channel Initiator or Listener? There won't be any Ports for Channel Initiators.

If you are looking for Channel initiator, you use

"runmqchi".

The syntax is "runmqchi [-m QMgrName] [-q InitQ]".

If you are looking for Listener its,

"runmqlsr [-m QMgrName] -t TCP -p <Portno>"

I hope this helps.
