How does the communication between MQ Workflow and MQ Series happen, if both of them are residing on the same HP-UX box.....is it something via TCP/IP (??remember same box) or do they use the Shared memory or is it via some other means of communication.
Thanks in advance. |

It depends on which piece of workflow?
It depends on what kind of configuration you have.
But if you are talking about workflow server, I don't think any tcp-ip is involved.
Workflow server is another another app to MQ. |

I think it depends on whether you are using MQClient or MQServer bindings, as specified during initial setup -- fmczinsx -o mqclient or fmczinsx -o mqserver. I'm much more familiar with AIX, but I believe HP-UX works the same way. MQClient uses the tab file and therefore TCP/IP, MQServer uses shared memory. |
