Hi, this is my first time working with MQ Series on AIX pltform. Can some body send to me an message example with some options. i need to do a test but I am not sure how can we contruct a message to send it.  |

There are sample programs installed in opt/mqm. Find one called amqsput, it wil allow you to put a message to your local queue manager. As for the message, that can be anything you want. If a program can hold the bytes in a buffer, it can send it over MQ. For the amqsput sample, it prompts you to type in some text after you connect. Take a look at the versiojn notes in the sample code, as it will explain what this app does and its parameters.
Once the message is on the q, you can the use amqsget to get it off the queue and it will display the message you just put. _________________ Peter Potkay

On AIX expect it to be installed under /usr/mqm....
