Hi All ,
I would like to know whether there is any known issue if we define the multiple channels (Using different transmission queue( between the same pair of mq managers.

The situation is something like this
We need to transmit 2 kind of the message between 2 applications
one kind of the messages require channel exit(require for some conversion, we can not remove this channel exits) , the other kind of the message does not require channel exit
So 2 channels can be defined one with channel exit and another would be without the channel exit.

There are 3 solutions to it.
1. Modifying the channel exit to by pass the conversion based on message identity (Existing working connection, Not feasable in our case, nobody knows what is inside the channel exit)
2. Define a new queues, transmission queues and channel(without channel exit) between mq managers
3. Define a new MQ manager and define queue, transmisison queues, channel etc

which one is a better solution and does solution 2 has any known issues
For any further query please let me know

Hi,

There is no issue with having multiple channels between 2 queue managers. But in many cases it doesn't make sense.

In this case, I would certainly go for the 2 channels (Solution 2). On that way you have your messageflows seperated. And you don't need to change your exit.

Just my 2cents

Hope this helps

Sebastian
