I deleted ALL ProcessInstances from my MQWorkflow Runtime DB.
Of course, with MQWorkflow API.
I checked Runtime DB and counted records of "PROCESS_INST" table.
The number of records of PROCESS_INST is Zero.
But, I found "BLOCK_INST", "CONTAINER", "PROGRAM_ACT_INST",
"WORK_ITEM" tables have some records.
Can I delete all records from these tables in this case?
regards

I would not do any deletes against the SQL tables. Only use the api. I am not sure what it is that you are seeing in these tables. Perhaps you should run the Process Template Delete Tool (I think this is installed in the bin directory when you install MQWF V3.6, not sure about 3.5, but you can definitely search the IBM MQWF site and find it). It could be that the remnants you are seeing will be cleaned up by the PTDT tool.
If you just want a clean database, just delete and readd the configuration. _________________ John McDonald

Thanks, jmac.
I reminded that "clean up server" (fmccmain) did not run in my MQWorkflow environment and started it.
It seems ALL unnecessary records cleared...
I believed that, when PI deleted, all related ITEM records and INSTANCE records are deleted at the same time.
But, exceptional case exists .
My ProcessTemplates have one or more BLOCKs.
If any ProcessInstances go around the same BLOCK more two times,
only deletion PI do NOT cause all related records clear (BLOCK_INST etc).
is this a specification?
I hoped PT delete tool. Thank you for tool information.
regards.
