I am trying to use JMSAdmin tool to define JMS objects but I am getting the following error.
Code:

InitCtx> dis ctx

  Contents of InitCtx

      .bindings                 java.io.File
      jmsobjects.config         java.io.File
   a  ivtQ                      com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue
   a  REPLYQ                    com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueue
   a  ivtQCF                    com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory

  5 Object(s)
    0 Context(s)
    5 Binding(s), 3 Administered

InitCtx> define q(q1) queue(local1)
Unable to bind object

InitCtx>

If I use the support pac (MS0N: WebSphere MQ - GUI version of the existing JMS Admin Tool )and give the same folder (I am using file system context) I am able to define objects.
How do I trace the error.

I believe you have to pass in the "-DMQJMS_TRACE_LEVEL=base" switch. There is a small comment in the Using Java manual (chapter 4).

Try using the -v option when starting JMSAdmin.

Thank you.
-v (for verbose) helps.
Though I couldn't figure out why, I upgraded from MQ 5.3 CSD04 to CSD06 and it started working fine.

The readme of the CSD also mentions about the -v option.
