We currently have configured our Workflow(3.5) webclient on WAS 5(Both run on AIX) and might need to move to WAS 6 some time in the future. Are there any known issues with the WAS 6 and WF3.5 combination?

Thanks in advance.

There should be no real issues, there is a new JMS provider, but WMQ is supported fine.

WAS 6.0 for workflow 3.5 is only supported with Service Pack 3.

Look at the readme for more details.

Quote:
3.6 Support of IBM WAS 6.0
--------------------------

Starting with IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow 3.5 SP3,
IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.0 can be used as an application server
on Microsoft Windows (XP and 2000), IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and HP-UX.

Because the configuration tool do not recognize
IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 6.0,
configure the IBM Web Client in WebSphere Application Server Version 6.0 as follows:
1) Unix only: in the command prompt where you start fmczutil,
set an environment variable to point to the application servers JDK:
for example: export JAVA_HOME=/usr/WebSphere/java
2) In the configuration tools, select WebSphere 5.x
3) Enter the correct installation path.

You can now create the Web Client within the Application Server.

Here is the readme

Has anyone tried to run WebClient 3.4 on WAS6 in combination with MQWF 3.6?
