What's new in WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.6
IBM WebSphere® MQ Workflow Version 3.6 is the follow-on release to V3.5, now available on Microsoft® Windows®, AIX®, Solaris, HP-UX, and z/OS™
Upgrades are seamless, including API compatibility and Runtime database migration assistance from Version 3.3.2 or higher to Version 3.6.
Migration assistance from previous releases - WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.3.2 or higher to Version 3.6, for longer term vitality and support.
New features
A native Java application programming interface (API)
For Web client and portal client applications
New Linux client support
Administer staff definitions dynamically
Direct access to query and modify all staff definitions in the workflow Runtime
Improved replication of staff data with enterprise directories
Enhanced Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) bridge
Support for Microsoft® Windows 2003 Active Directory
Display the total number of items in a (work) list
Indicates the total number of items in a list on the server database
Improved ease of installation and configuration
Open standards
New option to verify the compatibility of custom definitions with XML, Web services and BPEL standards for interoperability and coexistence
Currency support for new releases of co-requisite software
IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 and V5, IBM WebSphere Portal V5.1, IBM WebSphere MQ V6 and V5.3, IBM DB2® Universal Database™ and Oracle
Migration assistance from previous releases - WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.3.2 or higher to Version 3.6, for longer term vitality and support
Additional new features in WebSphere MQ Workflow for z/OS
Support for shared queues on z/OS, with WebSphere MQ V6.0

Downloadable approx 6/24.
There is a Linux CLIENT (not server)
IBM is committed to MQWF for "several" more years. I wish there was some universal definition of Several

I wish there was a linux server too.
Most of the WebSphere suite of products (WAS, ICS, WBIMB) are available for Linux. |
