All,

Can anybody help me find a tool/utility to convert messages from EBCDIC format to ASCII and vice versa?

if possible, please provide the link to the tool.

Thanks

In the context of MQ, the correct approach is to use MQGET with MQGMO_CONVERT, so that MQ converts the data on receipt.

You shouldn't send data in the target code page because that is against loose-coupling principles.

In terms of viewing data, support pacs IH03 and MO71 both support conversion when they browse. You can also save the data converted with MO71 and reload it so that it is converted on the queue.

Depends if the tool should be GUI or command line, platform to run on, manual or automatic and for what purpose you want it.

For a tool outside of Websphere, something like UltraEdit will also do it. USeful if you are converting files.
