The need to have the same queue manager name is not mandatory but highly desireable as the queue manager name is referenced in about 50+ locations.

That doesn't confuse clustering configuration in the middleware though. The problem we had was that the Middleware couldn't deliver messages out to the real queue manager as it could find two cluster ... |

Looks like a queue manager was added from another machine by mistake when someone ran a script against a queue manager. The person did this by mistak, inexperienced, yes, unprofessional is a bit hars ... |
