I tried both ways .When we deployin this its giving this error

Syntax error : expected 'END' but found 'keyword Case'.

Pl verify this: Its giving Syntax error
DECLARE STR CHAR;

SET STR='10-12-2005';

SET STR1=SUBSTRING(STR FROM 1 FOR 2);
SET STR2=SUBSTRING(STR FROM 4 FOR 2);
SET STR3=SUBSTRING(STR FROM 7 FOR ...
