You will likely have a lot of unresolvable problems with base 6.0.0.0 on FC5.
It's not worth your time to work with anything other than 6.0.2.x.

Fedora Core is not a support platfom, but... it works fine.
I have 2 servers working with FC6 x86_64 with no issues.
I think that you must change the shell from BASH to KSH (or ZSH) for the mqm us ... |
