I need to develop a server application to handle messages arriving in a queue from a legacy application (RPG) that does not support JMS.
From what i've figured so far, MDBs seem to be the ideal sol ...

ok fair enough.
seems like I might aswell create/close connection for each request/reply..
what is the general practice? connection per message pair or global connection?
