What do you mean by "status"?

There are two DISPLAY commands for chl and ql:

dis chs(xyz...) all

will show the status of all channel instances (MCAs) vo ra given channel object

It should be gone after a while ....

However, have you tried to kill that process (kill -9 16663)?

Another possibility is that something's still hangin arround in the shared memory. Try ipcs -a ...

check the PIDs on the queue ("Q") file handles (on NT, there's an utility handle.exe (www.sysinternals.com). Although it doesn't help always, you still get some information.
