Solved. Missed the one-liner in the Install guide about 64-bit linux needing to add 32-bit support for the IBM Installation Manager.

Is that Standard Edition or Developer Edition Or else ? toolkit in the system ?

I've installed IIB (including WMQ) on a Linux system (openSUSE 13.2). The install seems to have completed OK according to all the install logs but Verification is stuck. Two observations so far:
