I've done the following steps:

1. copy MSGMON.C to msgmon.c
2. replace every ??( with [ and )?? with ]
3. gcc -c msgmon.c
4. ld -G msgmon.o -o msgmon
5. as root: cp -p msgmon /o ...

there is a good SupportPac (MA06), which makes exactly what I want, but I couldn't compile it for SUN Solaris.
