"You should not copy the entire MQMD after the MQPUT1 and use it for the MQGET call."

I created a new function and I copy just the MQMD.MsgId into that function, which then copies it ...

Maybe the app you're sending the request to is never sending back a reply?
Maybe they are but not respecting your wishes to move the Mess ...
