I understand each queue has a queue file, overflow file and touch file, but I also see files being created starting with S in my queue manager subvolume on Tandem. What are these files?

Thanks very much.

The Nonstop does run a command server under Pathway so maybe this will work with the MQ Explorer. I'll look into it.

So just to confirm then there is no facility to restrict access within MQSC?

if a user has the ability to run MQSC then they have full access to administer queues, channels etc???

Unfortunately that wrapper utility is not available for the HP Nonstop platform

I found my problem.....It was because I wasn't using the default installation directorys of /opt/mqm and /var/mqm. Instead I was trying to install to /wmq53/opt/mqm and /wmq53/var/mqm
