Doesn't monitoring events have any impact on the performance of IIB?

The quoted overhead from IBM 2% drop in performance, but we've never had any detectible overhead.

I would think coming to version 10 IIB would provide its own built in logging mechanism on par at least with log4j if not better that works painlessly.
