This problem is because of the change in behavior in .NET 4.0 Framework.

Ran some tests and here is what I found.

The answer is no.
That would explain why it doesn't work, then.

Informix and DB2 drivers work perfectly under 4.0 altough documentation doesn't make any such claims.
