Me again, just a couple of additional points. In some recent reading I'm seeing that forcing garbage collection is not a guarrentee. That's fine - the issue was being tested because of continued mem ...

I just wanted to give you a breakdown of the p ...

Actually the language could be Assembler or COBOL. This initial attempt is from a batch job although I wouldn't rule out CICS down the line. I'm hoping that would be the easy part - tweaking the env ...

Hi all, looking for some opinions on a direction/solution.

We have an integration that is putting an MQ message from a mainframe (WMQ for z/OS) to a Windows qmgr. The message is comprised of some ...

Thank you Mr. Butcher that did indeed work (well almost).

We actually just code that keyword as (R4).
I heard the 0(,R4) did not assemble properly - perhaps should have been 0(0,R4) BUT IN ANY CAS ...

Correct on the EXEC CICS GETMAIN - I just meant the program language was COBOL. This one is Assembler.

I'll regroup and bug some Assembler folks over here; you have been very patient following up ...

I found the call list in the APG under the z/OS samples...

Honestly, I was planning on a GETMAIN because I did not think it to be a big deal - but because of the addressing I guess it is.

So fro ...
