why would you want 2/more messages in MQ to have same MsgId ?
What exactly is the requirement ?
MsgId * should * (highly recommended) be unique for a message in the MQ network for a message |

the dirty method to do would be to take the number after the decimal, trim the '0' of the right side and then concat it back...

Any flow specific information that you want in the newly generated message from TIMEOUT notification should have... you can pass on through MQRFH2 header usr folder
