We have a single Config Manager hosted centrally which is used to manage a number of brokers in different geographical locations.

We are now planning an upgrade to WMQI v2.1 from MQSI v2.0.2.

In an ideal world, the obvious solution would have been to upgrade the CM and all brokers at the same time so that all components are at the same level of software.

However, as most of you will agree it is a logistical nightmare to schedule and co-ordinate all upgrades simultaneously, so we will have to do them one at a time.

I have read the manual and it says that you can upgrade the CM and CC to v2.1 first and they will be able to deploy to the brokers at v2.0.2 level.

We can then upgrade the brokers individually to v2.1.

Has anybody been running with this kind of mixed version architecture and have you experienced any issues? Is there anything particular that we need to look out for when using mixed versions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ash
