Hi,
I have couple of doubts related to Staffing.
1.What is the advantage of using 'Staff from predefined member' over 'staff from container' when there is a need to change
the user/role at every loop. For Ex Requester/performer scenario.
2.Is there any advantage in mapping container member to activity_info.people rather than using container member itself
during staff resoultion.
Any inputs will be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Mahesh

The only difference comes from the way the "Staff from Predefined Members" is implemented. The nice thing about this is that IF you fill in _Activity_info.People then it overrides all of the other values (i.e MembersOfRoles etc). This can come in very handy at times

Not sure what you are asking here Mahesh, expand on this a little, if the prior answer does not solve your questions. _________________ John McDonald

In the secand one I was trying to find is there any performace advantage of using predefined members over container member.
and if you know any senarios where we can say that we have to use predefined data members not the container members?
Hope you understood my question.

Mahesh:
To my knowledge, there is no difference in performance of using a "From Container" option verses a "From PreDefined" option. For a definitive answer you might want to post this to the IBM Newsgroup. _________________ John McDonald
