What is the meaning of PLANNING state? How can we see an item in this state?

Hi,
I may be a short lived state before the Ready State. I am not sure.
There is API in java to access this state "ExecutionState.PLANNING"

I think I heard of this state before or read it somewhere, but just cant remember. A workitem before being in ready state is "InActive" state. So I am sure "Planning" state is something else.
Andy, Post it on IBM forum and see if any developers answer it. If they do, make sure you post their reply here. _________________ -Ratan |

Hi,
Here is the answer:
Quote: |
current versions of WebSphere MQ Workflow do not use the planning state of activities.
You can see this by looking into the Programming Guide, Chapter 51, Work Item Actions. At the
beginning of the chapter, starting with Figure 25, you see the work item states which go in parallel
with the activity states. A state "planning" does not occur.

Talking about same figure which John and Ratan always keep infront of them

Yeah thats a great diagram.... BUT if I had read it a little closer I would have been able to answer your question..... _________________ John McDonald

I went through that diagram after you posted the question. I did not see the state, so I thought either it is not implemented or it is some internal state which we dont see.
Thanks Andy _________________ -Ratan |
