AMI documentation states that Java interface offers XA support with MQ as transaction coordinator. What I don't see is how 2PC between AMI and JTA/JTS compatible JDBC drivers is implemented (there is no XA specific session factories like in JMS).
If this works, please help and explain how it works. If it doesn't, what are my options as database interface is concerned to make this work?
It is important to point out that MQ JMS (MA88) works with JTA/JTS drivers, but ONLY with an external transaction manager (WebSphere). It does NOT support MQ as a transaction coordinator.
Thanks,
Vlad

Let me add sth to it.
To work with Websphere and being able to use distributed transaction with MQ Series. Both should be installed on the same Machine. |

Sure, because it must use bind mode for XA. |

The only mq api which supports JTS/JTA coordination is JMS.
The mq base java classses can use MQ as a coordinator with some restrictions.
The AMI only allows MQ resources to be coordinated from Java |
