Hi,
I am seeing a very strange phenomenon in my WMQI 2.1 setup. As larger batches of XML messages are put on the input queue (from say 500 to 2500), there is a noticeable slowdown in the time to process each message. So for instance, putting a batch size of 500 XML messages on the input queue would allow a message to be processed in 2 seconds (start queue to end queue). If that batch size is increased to 2500 messages however, that processing time per message increases to something higher, say 4 seconds. One would think that while the overall processing time would of course be different, the time to process each XML message would stay relatively the same. This is not the case.
Has anyone else run into this issue as well? I am running WMQI 2.1 (CSD02) on a Solaris based system. All the messages put on the queue are identical, save for incrementing a unique identifier and thus should follow the same route for processing.
Also, the ESQL code is fairly complex and there are calls to the DB.
Thanks,

Are you putting the messages locally or remotely? Did you see the CPU usage in both cases? Maybe putting those messages locally consume much CPU compare to the first case. _________________ Lillo
