There is an MQ Services icon in the system tray at the lower right of the screen. Right click on it and select "Hide". This will stop process amqmtbrn.
Stop any queue managers running on the system
Close MQ Explorer running on the system
Close any user application that is using MQ.
Open the MQ Services application and make sure all the services are stopped and set to "Manual".
Right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage"
Expand the "Services and Applications" at the bottom of the left panel.
Select "Services". The right panel will list all of the sevices running on the machine. One or more of these is guilty. Suspects should be stopped and disabled. (right click and select "properties"). This is a list of known offenders (there may be others):
