The following IBM MQSeries Family SupportPacs have been released.
IA0H: MQSeries Integrator - Postit Plug-in
When implementing complex solutions with MQSeries Integrator V2, customer often find that they need to keep some form of context between message flows. A simple example of this need is found in the common request/reply message flows, where both the request message and the reply message need to be processed by the broker. Typically, the broker will manipulate the ReplyToQ field of the request message so that any reply message is redirected to a broker queue for further processing. The problem is then how to restore the ReplyToQ to its original setting so that the reply message can be sent to the originator of the request. Various approaches to solving this problem exist, including storing the context in additional MQSeries queues or writing it to a database table.
This SupportPac supplies a plug-in node that provides an alternative mechanism for saving and restoring context information, without the use of either queues or database tables. It is quick, intuitive, simple to implement and is highly flexible in the ways it can be deployed. The implementation allows context data to be shared between all Execution Groups in a broker instance. Furthermore, it is multi-threaded so it will work equally well for deployments where Message Flows have been configured with multiple worker threads.
IA74: MQSeries Integrator - CICS Client Plug-In
MQSeries Integrator is designed to simplify data conversion and message routing of enterprise application data. In many organizations, IBM's CICS transaction processing system forms a key component of the solution. The ability to execute a CICS transaction and supply input data and receive result responses can be a critical component in a business solution. This SupportPac supplies a CICSClient extension node for the MQSeries Integrator V2 product. By employing this node, communication with a CICS Server may be achieved within an MQSI V2 message flow. Data may be passed to the CICS Server and a named application be executed. Results from that application may be returned to the message flow and, if desired, further acted upon.
IA75: MQSeries Integrator V2 - CheckDuplication Plug-In
The SupportPac supplies an MQSeries Integrator Plug-In node that checks for the possibilty of record duplications in a database by comparing the message ID with the primary key of the database.
MACP: MQSeries Client for Windows NT and Windows 2000 - V5.2.1
This SupportPac contains the IBM MQSeries client components for Windows NT and Windows 2000 - V5.2.1.
WA07: MQSeries Workflow - Web Services Process Management Toolkit
Web Services are self-describing, self-contained, modular applications running on the Web for the benefit of enterprises who want to create innovative processes and value chains. The Web Service Process Management Toolkit (WSPMTK) combines business process management technology with Web Services and offers the tools and samples needed. The WSPMTK tools and samples complement MQSeries Workflow and allow you to create complex Web Services.
The following IBM MQSeries Family SupportPacs has been updated:
IC71: Configuring MQSeries Integrator for Windows NT V2 with Microsoft Cluster Server
Configuring MQSeries Integrator for Windows NT V2 with Microsoft Cluster Server enables MQSeries Integrator message brokers and a user name server (UNS) to be managed by Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS), to provide high availability. A highly available broker or UNS can continue to provide service following the failure of a machine, or one of its components. This is achieved by providing automated failure detection, failover and restart.
In addition to operating in the presence of failures, a highly available broker or UNS can continue to provide service during periods when a machine must be shutdown for scheduled maintenance. An administrator can deliberately initiate the movement of a broker or UNS and its associated resources, from one machine to another. This SupportPac contains information about how to configure an MSCS cluster to manage brokers and a UNS. This SupportPac does not contain any additional software because all the software required is already available either as products or existing SupportPacs. It has been Updated to provide details for Windows 2000 Advanced Server and MQSeries Integrator for Windows NT Version 2.0.2.
