Hello.
I am new to MQSI, Pls help me to resolve this issue. I was searching on the web, but couldn’t find anything...Hope some one can help to address this
Here is my scenario,
Broker on AIX and Config Mgr on NT
When trying to create borker using mqsicreatebroker, I get the following error
BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
The message broker encountered an error whilst executing a database operation. T he ODBC return code was '-1'. See the following messages for information obtained from the database pertaining to this error.
Use the following messages to determine the cause of the error. This is likely to be such things as incorrect datasource or table names. Then correct either the database or message broker configuration.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'IM003'; Native Error Code '80'; Error Text 'Specified driver could not be loaded'.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State 'I
M003' SQL Native Error Code '80' SQL Error Text 'Specified driver could not be loaded' This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the m
essage broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accomp anying messages to determine the cause of the error.
BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.
The database cannot be accessed with the userid and password that were specified when the broker was created. Check that the database is running, that an ODBC connection has been created and
that the userid and password pair specified for ODBC connect on the mqsicreate command are capable of being used to connect to the database using an ODBC conne ction. Also ensure that the database has a adequate number of database connectio ns available for use.
I have checked the .odbc. file under /var/wmqi/odbc/.odbc.ini ..I am using default driver point to MQSIBKDB the default database...the user ID I am using has all the access rights
some one suggested to change the line under odbc.ini from db2.o to db2_36.o, cause it has some compatibly issue...
Still doesn’t work...
I am using db2 7.2 with MQSI2.1
cheers.. |

Hi,
not sure if this helps, but DB2 v7.2 is only supported by CSD 4 update of WMQI 2.1. Have you installed the CSD4 update?

I have the same problem on the AIX system,I and my colleagues tried almost
all the methods to solve this problem, and we FAIL!!!!
the situation is like these
1 ,in the AIX System we have two borkers and each one use separate broker Database.
2 ,right now only one BROKER can be start normally(have 2 processes bipservics, bipbroker),
the other can't(only bipservice).
3 ,the odbc.ini seems correct(both use the same db driver db2_36.o)
4 ,Right now the dilemma is we can't even delete this broken broker(the same odbc error
message)
Best Regard |

Did you run mqsi_setupdatabase? See pg21 of AIX install guide...
worth a shot!
