FYI - for NNSY users about to apply CSD#4. Found one bug effecting the Neon Rules Evaluation node. We run HP-UX although the bug is not necessarily limited to that platform. If you use Neon and this node, contact me and I'll help you identify the eFix you need to apply.

OK, here's the details from my case as I've had some of you ask already.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rules Evaluation node has issues with optional fields in input formats. You can call IBM and make reference to PMR 87573 and it's associated eFix.
Here's the description from my case if it helps:
Please assure Paul that I don't think this has anything to do with the location of his user exit library. . The cause of the problem is to do with the two fields OriginalFaceAmt and SecMaturDte which consist only of spaces in the original message. In the first reformat they are suffixed with a tilda and trimmed of spaces. In the second reformat they are trimmed of tildas and spaces before being given a tag prefix and a tilda suffix. At the start of the second reformat they have an effective length of zero and since Null Action is not specified on the prefix/suffix operations we would expect both fields to be completely suppressed in the output message. . Msgtest is therefore performing correctly, and if Paul's flow used an old style NEONRules node then he would see the correct output message from that too (I have tried it). But the new style NeonRulesEvaluation node is behaving incorrectly in CSD4 and what Paul sees in his output message is garbage at the points where those fields would be if they existed. . I shall refer this case to New Era for further investigation.
I'd call IBM if you suspect this might hit you.....
