Hi,
NOTE: Some of these questions are from other friends in my group working for a customer
I have setup RDQMs in a DRHA config with 3 HA nodes at the main data center replicated over to 3 HA nodes at an alternate data center. DR status shows normal and replication is 100% complete.
1) Is it possible to have an ability where the replication to the DR site can be paused for a day or two and we use the DR site to do some local testing by bring up the RDQMs there without causing any disturbance to the RDQMs at the primary data center. Do not know the procedure or commands to accomplish this other than rdqmadm -s (should this be run on all 3 nodes at the DR site)
2) Once the local testing at the DR site is complete and we are ready to resume replication, how do we re-establish this DR replication based on how we accomplish (1) above.
3) What happens to the MQ data and logs that were generated during the localized testing on the DR site once replication from primary is re-established? Will the replication from the primary site wipe out everything that was generated during the local testing? or would the locally generated data on the DR site from the testing get replicated over to primary (which shouldn't be the case since the main DR site is the designated primary and should be the source of truth so to speak).
Asking these out of sheer ignorance and lack of expertise in these matters. _________________ LIFE is a series of complex calculations, somewhere multiplied by ZERO.
