Hi all,
I have a message flow running on WIN 2000 box with my message flow deployed into two execution groups. Its taking 3 secs to process one 8K BLOB message. The business logic in the message flow is also complex and the incoming message is from a main frame for that i have imported a COBOL COPY Book into MQSI. For a 18000 batch its taking more than 10 hrs to complete the whole process. I am converting the in coming BLOB message to XML in the message flow.
If any one can suggest me how to improve the performance it will be a great help to me.The hardware figures for our MQSI box is as below ,
*Manufacturer: Compaq
*Model: ProLiant DL380 G2
*Network O/S: Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
Service Pack: Service Pack 3
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) III CPU - S 1400MHz/1390 X 2
Installed RAM (MB): 2047
Disk Controller(s): Compaq Smart Array 5i X 1
Hard Drive(s): 6 x 36GB

You didn't mention your MQ and MQSI version and CSD levels. Aren't you parsing your input messaeg against MRM COBOL copybook definition? What is the size of your input message? Do you have lots of repeating elements in your input message? Without looking at your ESQL code or message flow design it'll be hard to find out the exact problem. Consider making use of REFERENCE variables in your ESQL code. _________________ Kiran
