Is there any from IBM recommended place to install 3rd party extensions like qload ? I'm looking at Unix (mainly Linux) and Windows. We discussed in the office that /var/mqm/config could be used. But trying to look it up in KC didn't get me any answers. It would be interessting to hear Paul Clarke's opinion as we're currently specifically looking at qload. The qload documentation does not get specific on any location as far as I've seen.

I would avoid using the MQ installation or data path, as it may cause issues with the MQ installer or internal operations of MQ. It also leaves breadcrumbs behind when MQ is uninstalled. Keep it clean!
We generally store locally written utilities and 3rd party products in the mqm user's home directory on UNIX or a dedicated directory structure, eg. D:\SiteApps\MQ\utils. YMMV. _________________ Glenn
