hi,
I'm trying to connect to a qmgr running on a Windows server from my desktop in the MQ explorer.
I succeeded connecting to other LINUX servers, but failing to connect to WINDOWS servers qmgrs. Getting "Access not permitted. You are not authorized to perform this operation. (AMQ4036)
Access not permitted. You are not authorized to perform this operation. (AMQ4036)
Severity: 10 (Warning)
Explanation: The queue manager security mechanism has indicated that the userid associated with this request is not authorized to access the object.

Look in the queue manager log, which should state which entity is failing and why... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Look for more detailed explanation in the errors folder (directory) under your qmgrname folder.
Also, please post your version/release of MQ. Are you running 9.0.0.0, for example? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Is it as simple as the user id you're passing is in the correct group in whatever LDAP the Linux servers are using, but is not in the ActiveDirectory the Windoze is using? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
