We are facing issue where Datapower is sending messages to MQ. It is a system to handle high volumes of data - in the test environment, when the transaction rate is reaching around 400/sec, then the number of connections from DP to MQ is increasing to the Maxconnections in Datapower , and then we are getting errors continuously in DP. The connection parameters like MaxChanneInstances are set to high numbers , but it looks like the either the connections are not re-used or not released or there is a delay in MQ committing messages to the queue. Can you please help to resolve this issue?
DP (2 Instances connecting to a single queue manager using MQ Queue manager object) values in each instance
Version : V7.2.0.11
MaxConnections : 1000 (tried with different values of 2000 & 4000 with the same result)
Sharing conversations : 1
Connection persistence set as on
MQ V8.0.0.4
OS :RHEL V7.1
Single Queue Manager QM1
Log details
Circular logging
MaxchannelInstances/Maxchannel : 4500
Server connection channel params
MaxIntances and MaxInstances per client : 999999999
Sharing conversations : 1
DISCINT : 180
HBINT : 30
SSL : required
SSLCIPH : ECDHE_RSA_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
DP is publishing messages by putting persistent messages to a topic. There are 2 durable subscriptions provided destination queues.
When the transactions per sec is at a rate of 300 mgs/sec it is showing around 60-150 connections. When this rate is increased to around 350 msgs/sec, then there is a sudden increase in the connections shown in MQ, and it is showing as 2000 (1000 from each DP instance). No idea on why this sudden increase – I cant see any errors in MQ ☹. But, in live, the expected transaction rate is around 1000/sec.
Noticed that MQ is writing messages to the queue (which is the destination queue of the subscription) at a rate of around 400msgs/sec. The average size of messages is 10KB. I tried increasing the log buffer and persistent Q buffer pramas, but diddnt get any significant improvement.
Is there any params that can be configured either in DP or in MQ so that will make sure that the connections will be resused /released ? |
