Referring IIB10 Info center and found couple of contridictory statements aboy HTTP Listener used by REST API:
"REST APIs can be deployed to integration servers that are configured to use either the integration node HTTP listener or the integration server HTTP listener."
and "Because REST APIs always use the integration server HTTP listener for the integration server, you must configure the integration server HTTP listener.
Note: You cannot use the integration node HTTP listener with REST APIs."
Which one is correct? or am i getting confused?[/quote] |

Let's simplify all this and state following:
If you are providing a REST API Service, you will be using an HTTP Input Node. This node needs to be configured to use an HTTP Listener.
The Integration Service running that HTTP Listener can be configured to use either the integration service listener or the integration node listener.
If the integration node listener is used an MQ Qmgr must be configured to support the integration node.
Hope this clarifies it... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

I am more concerned with the second statement which is
"Because REST APIs always use the integration server HTTP listener for the integration server, you must configure the integration server HTTP listener. Note: You cannot use the integration node HTTP listener with REST APIs." |

Can you supply the URL for that statement? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Well it seems to be in open contradiction with http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSMKHH_10.0.0/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/bi12025_.htm which clearly states:
Quote: |
REST APIs can be deployed to integration servers that are configured to use either the integration node HTTP listener or the integration server HTTP listener. If the integration node has a queue manager specified, the integration server defaults to using the integration node HTTP listener. If the integration node does not have a queue manager specified, the integration server defaults to using the integration server HTTP listener. For more information on the options for HTTP listeners, see HTTP listeners. |
I would trust the latter one. If you want official confirmation open a PMR. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
