alright i have a win 2000 server running mqseries.the problem is i cant open the mqexplorer or run commands in cmd.i tried to reinstall(modify) with out losing the data.but install wizard threw a error and bailed out.(error # amq 4739) .just to test if i type runmqsc qmgr .it just returns the command promt again. need help fast u guys.very critical phase.

What happens if you try 'strmqm' or 'endmqm'? Does it indicate that the queue manager is running or not?
Also, you never mentioned whether you created a queue manager or not - but I'm assuming you did...
Have you looked at the various MQ logs?

You said the install wizard bailed out which makes me think that the installation was not successful. Did you check if there are any amq* processes running.. If so you might want to kill all these processes and try re-installing again..

THANKS GUYS,
HAD TO UNINSTALL.. and do it all over again.it seems there where two instance of mqseries running.someone had not installed it right.everything on track now.
