Hi All,
My Environemnt: Windows 7, IIB9, WMQ7.5, Integration Server 8.4.1.1
we need WTX node to be reflected in IIB toolkit but I want to install only Integration server. Is there any way to get the WTX node other than installing Design Studio.
Thanks |

Why would you need the WTX node if you only have the Integration Server?
How would you use the WTX node if you don't have Design Studio and the per-seat license which attaches to it? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi
We already had the designed maps that was done by other team. we just make use of those in our flows with WTX node and build the flows. to run the maps integration server is sufficient. So I am just checking is there any possibility of getting the node with out design studio.
Thanks

I thought you needed the WTX runtime engine available to run the maps; shows what I know. Can you share your topology on how you're achiveing this so I can save myself a fortune in WTX license?

I've always believed you needed Design Studio. But then I always thought WTX maps needed the runtime engine. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

So, let me be evil and revive this subject.
My customer has WTX developers.
They have IIB developers (which are not the same people).
The Integration Server (broker runtime) has the WTX runtime (which is not on the developers workstation).
So, the IIB developer only needs the WTX node on the pallet to include it in the flow that will run in DEV (and so on) where WTX runtime is also installed.
Yes, they want to save money. So that is the question, can you only install WTX for IS where the IIB toolkit is without WTX Design Studio? |

Ask your IBM rep. AFAIK (and your IBM rep may know better) the WTX node is a component of the Design Studio and attracts a license.
If your IBM rep does know better, please post so I can have a conversation with my IBM rep ..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
