Hi All,
Can some1 explain this one? We talk that every System Group can have a single database.Try out this one:
Create a configuration :FMC...with FMCGRP,FMSYS,FMCQM....Runtime db FMCDB......

Now if i create one more configuration FMC1 with the same FMCGRP,FMCSYS,FMCQM but different Runtime db "FMCDB1"....MQWF doesnt crib about the same.

Please note that we are creating a new db for the System Group...how is this possible.

Regards,
Hari

Just so I understand the question here let me ask you this.

So your stating that Workflow has allowed you to create two configuratons each with it's own DB (FMCDB, FMCDB1), but both use the same queue manager (FMCQM)?

I can easily see the possibiility of having the same system name and system group name, however, I thought the queue manage needed to be unique.

If I understand you right, you are overwriting the old definition (FMC). This sure can be done. Is your queue prefix different for both the definitions or the same?

I dont think there is any use doing it.

Yeah thats true that there is no point doing that but i was getting a bit inquisitive.

Well for this two congifuration(FMC & FMC1) everything is same(even the Queue prefix) except for the DB as specified before.
And for sure i think it does not overwrite the old definition, since one can use both configurations without any fuss.

If the Queue Prefix is also the same that means both configurations (FMC & FMC1) point to the same queues. That means though you have two different configuration names everything is the same.

on ur DB server box, install administrative utility and runtime component, then configure 2 or MQWF ID.....

Then on those MQWF server box, configure servers and point to the DB2 instance/DB....that should works

certainly same system group need to be defined
