If I understand your question, MQSeries ships two executable CDs. One is for the server and includes the client code. The other is just for the client. If you have the server installed on a machine, you have to use the server CD's client code to install the client code. You can't install the client code from the client CD onto a server. Is this what you're asking?

Hi Raj

I suggest you read MQ quick installation guide & also IBM read books
at www.redbooks.ibm.com. Basically MQ 5.2.1 comes with one CD with Clinet/Server Components. During installation, it gives you option to install Client/Server component or either.

If you have selected Server component only, you can easily go back and
reinstall MQ client code.

I suspect, you might have tried installing server component in existing
system or you first installation did not complete

Hope helps....Thanks.

There is none, you simply have to use the server CD if you have the server already installed on your machine.
