Hi

The property 'Build tree using XML schema data types' in HTTPInput & SOAPInput makes the message tree conform to the data types specified as per the schema instead of the default CHARACTER.

What is the ESQL constant to be used in OPTIONS ,for a PARSE statement?

The constants listed on this page , do not seem to cover that option: - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSMKHH_9.0.0/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ak60300_.htm?lang=en

I suspect "validate content and value".

But I haven't tested it.

Wouldn't "Validate content and value" force this?

Unfortunately not. 'Build tree using XML Schema types' is a separate property and has ( or should have ) a separate constant in ESQL.
If there is one then it's not documented. Maybe time for an RFE?

A reset content descriptor should do the trick in that case. It has the flag...

I had tried Content & Value - it does not do build the message tree as per the schema types.

The Reset Content Descriptor works, makes the ESQL code go away as well, so instead of a PARSE in ESQSL, I can use the RCD..

Thank you so very much!
