In versions of Broker pre V8 we didn't have applications.

This meant that the Message flow version was reflected in the message flow properites as displayed in MQExplorer.

If we fast forward to IIB 9.0.0.2 a flow converted to an application shows nothing in the Version Field.

If you do an mqsilist with -d 2 you get something like this

The VERSION is blank.

A flow where the barfile was created on 7.0.0.4 and deployed to 9.0.0.2 shows the version. for example

How can the 'VERSION field be populated with the correct version number in for Applications 9.0.0.2?

The reason for asking is that the operators know how to quote the flow version in support calls.

Did you populate the version property on the application itself, rather than on the flows within it?

Do you see different data if you look at the properties of the flows within the application?

Applications work like other "zip" resources in the product.

Thanks for the link. I must have missed it when I was searching. {I've got a cold so the old noggin is a bit slow at the moment}

It looks like we'll have to develop a post bar file build procedure to modify Version.
