We have implemented clustering for MQ and Websphere Application Server is connecting to a gateway QM which is a full repository QM.
There is an alias queue in gateway QM pointing to a queue on another QM, which is partial repository.

While doing this in WAS logs there is error

UNKOWN ALIAS BASE Q.

We have given the gateway QM name and alias queue names to WAS team.

Do not specify the Queue Manager name on the MQOPEN call when opening the Alias queue.
