I'm trying to use MQExplorer to connect to a remote QMGR using the "Connect using intermediate Queue Manager" option.

This works fine, however, I have a TEST and a PROD environment which each host a qmgr by the same name. I can only add a qmgr using either the TEST intermediate QMGR or the PROD intermediate QMGR, but not both without getting a error indicating that the QMGR is already added.

Is there a way I can add both these QMGRs using the intermediate method to MQ Explorer.

MQExplorer ----> Intermediate(QMGRA) ----> Remote(QMGRC)

MQExplorer ----> Intermediate(QMGRB) ----> Remote(QMGRC)

Each Intermediate QMGR currently has connections to its Remote QMGR

MQExplorer just doesn't allow me to have two connections to QMGRC, even though they are different.

Any way around this?

You are cruising for a bruising. I think the best you can do is use two different workspaces. It is best that all QmgrNames in your network be unique.

I hear ya, but sometimes you need to deal with the hand that was given to ya!

Alternate workspace may do the trick. Thanks for that thought.

Oddly enough even though I set my preferences to prompt me for the workspace, it sure isn't on start up and I can't find a way to do it like WMBT.
