Anyone ever worked with the Oracle replication product "Golden Gate". It has capability to use JMS to put and get MQ messages.
I've been working with our Golden Gate architect. They have other JMS connections which they configure in .ini files. It seems to me that I would just produce a bindings file for them. But we can't figure out where we would put it or how it would be referenced. The other .ini files contain jndi definitions, but the syntax is not a perfect match to our bindings files.
Anyway..... just wondered if anyone has been down this road before? We can't find much vendor doco or google wisdom so far.
Thanks. |

Shirley,
"Golden Gate" isn't Oracle AQ repackaged is it? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

LOL. A valid question. No, Oracle AQ is still out there, and in use at our site. Golden Gate is a replication product. It allows table-level replication of data. One use case, for example, would be to replicate data for reporting, you know? And it can be done in near real-time, or at other intervals.
I'm a little fuzzy on where JMS messaging fits into the GG product. Our GG architect is doing the research and I myself haven't spent much time with Mr Google yet. |
