I don't think that sticking in a space or spelling the word dot is enough to thwart someone that went thru the trouble of writing a program that crawls the web looking for email addresses.
No need to list your email address in a post, obfuscated or not. There is an email button in everyone's profile that does all you need.

And you most certainly did not specify the geographic area for your search. If it is worldwide you should certainly say so.
