Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing great.

I am working on a migration project where we are converting some standalone WTX maps to IIB/WTX environment and I have some sql select statements. DBLOOKUP/DBQUERY statements are working perfectly for DB2 but not for SQL.

ODBC is configured fand mqsicvp is working perfectly . Is there any fix packs or any procedure available for this.

Hope somebody is successful in this and appreciate your any kind of guidance.

Thanks a lot.

Explain to me how the WTX map uses the configured ODBC connection of the broker?

I thought WTX is integrated with Message Broker that means for any DB connectivity it should go through a Message broker process sorry if totally got it wrong.

Please help me out in resolving this. Thanks.

You're wrong. WTX is integrated with WMB in that you can access WTX via a node rather a web service call or one of the APIs WTX provides. It remains a stand alone piece of software.

Migrate how the stand alone maps accessed DB2 into the new solution. Use that. How the WTX maps execute will not change just because you're calling the map from a WTX node in a flow rather than from command mode.

Clearly having access to WMB may change your map's design and their need to access a database. This is one of the reasons to use both WTX & WMB; get WMB to perform some of the non-transformation functions.
